My Top 5 Accessories

In this blog post, I am going to tell you the top 5 accessories that can instantly transform your outfit (according to me…not to fashion magazines etc LOL). And I am sure many of these, if not all, you already own!

1. CHOKERS – If you have gotten to know me through Instagram, you know I am a huge fan of chokers and its probably one of my favorite accessories. They come in a variety of styles from simple to chic, fancy to crazy! Whatever the style, I am sure they have it! Reason I love chokers is because I am thin and have a long neck, so I feel for myself that chokers take the “long neck” look away. I mainly love wearing them if I wear a higher neck top (as I don’t like that look on me). I feel with higher neck tops, it makes it look better. And to make it easier, there are PLENTY of choker-style tops out there! I own a few and love them!

   EARRINGS – I wasn’t so into wearing different earrings daily except for my usual diamond hoops until recently. Now, all I wear are the costume jewelry earrings and have fun with it! I love the tassels, beading designs, geometric shapes etc. This is just as fun as chokers. But I feel there are more fun earrings then chokers when hitting up the stores. For now, my faves are the tassel styles whether it be thread or beads and I am always matching my earrings to the style of my outfits ~ or to dress a casual look up a bit!

3. LIPSTICK – Yassss!! This one is my EVERYDAY SINGLE DAY accessories. I do not leave my house without color on my lips. If I do, I look like death LOL. Maybe that’s just because I got used to wearing it daily. Back in the day when my girls were younger, I rarely wore any! I love my shades to be around the brown and purple tones. I love reds and found a red for me, but with reds, I need to have it planned out with my outfit as I do not like wearing it daily. I stick to liquid lipsticks because they last all day and I rarely reapply during the day (but I do keep one in my purse for just-in-case moments). But really, just a bit of lipstick makes you ready to conquer the day! And look pretty 🙂 Even so you are pretty without it!

4. PURSES – Firstly, I am picky with my purses. I don’t love everything. One tip is, always own at least one black purse as its “chic”. I actually just got my first YSL purse in black and it goes with everything. I’m not saying get “designer”. This I happened to get for my birthday as it was my 30th. Had it not been my 30th, I would have no hope in getting it LOL. Also for me, I love just one color. Not a fan of the “colorful” bags. And to make the bag look more chic and dress up your outfits, go for ones with gold or silver hardware.

5. HEELS – Oh Em Gee. Love them, but hate wearing them LOL. The only time you see me wear them is when I have to. Even date nights with hubby most times I don’t wear them. I just like being comfortable. What can I say? But heels, I have plenty. And they always dress up everything. Even a denim skirt! But heels in general are a great staple to keep in your closet for those “just in case” outings.
