For the longest time I didn’t buy any drugstore makeup. I got so used to high end makeup from Sephora and Department Stores that I just forgot how amazing drugstore makeup is.

I literally spent so much money over the years and so annoyed at how much I could’ve saved had I not been into ‘brand name‘ makeup.

And so I decided to do a makeup haul and try many drugstore brands to let you know which you MUST buy and so worth it! {items can either be bought at drugstores, Ulta stores or online depending on the brand}

So let’s get into it!

Elf Lip Exfoliator: This is seriously a holy grail! Comes like a lipstick and so easy to use and even on the spot by your vanity. No need for water etc. Just wipe it clean with a tissue after! After trying this, my lips were so smooth and ready for lipstick application. Highly recommend! And I’ve tried other lip exfoliators and this is the best by far! {retails $3.00}

Elf Tone Adjusting Primer: I love this for a primer. It helps with redness and love how the application is. Very soft and glides nicely! {retails $6.00}

Elf Flawless Finish Foundation: Yes, you must try this! I love it!!! And covered all day! Seriously amazing for the cheap price! {retails $6.00}

Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Foundation: I tried this and OMG. It’s really as the name says. photo focus! I literally looked like my skin was airbrushed! If you love matte and full coverage foundations, this is for you! {retails for $5.99}

Essence Fresh & Fit – Awake Makeup: This foundation is more lightweight and not matte. And I love it for everyday! If you have redness etc, you may need to use concealer, but on its own, it covers decently and I’m definitely going to be using it. {retails for $6.99}

Physicians Formula Insta Ready Concealer: This brand is not so cheap for a drugstore brand, but I like this concealer. It also came with a mini beauty blender for applying. I actually got it on sale so it was worth it. It covered well and under my eyes which is a must! {retails $10.99}

LA Girl Pro Conceal HD: Let me just say, this covered my dark circles! Score! I just didn’t like the brush applicator, but the concealer is great and totally worth it! {retails for $2.95}

Wet n Wild Megaglow Highlighting Powder: This highlighter is so pigmented! A little goes a long way! I also love how it feels soft like a cushion! {retails for $2.99}

Profusion Cosmetics Blush and Glow II: Very pigmented blushes and highlighters! A little goes a long way. I absolutely love these! {retails $4.99}

ColourPop Cosmetics Super Shock Highlighter: I can sit and play with this one all day lol! So soft like a cushion and applies so well! You can literally use this anywhere on your face. So cheap and I love this! {retails $8.00}

Elf Monochramatic Multi Stick: This is as it’s name, use it anywhere! I use it for my blush and it gives such a dewy finish and with a little shimmer. {retails $4.00}

Elf Bakes Highlighter in Moonlight Pearls: This highlighter is not as dramatic, it’s more subtle which is great as not always do I want to blind someone with my highlighter lol. But if you use your finger, you get way more product and pigmentation. Plus, so pretty as a shadow! {retails $4.00}

Essence Mosaic Blush: This Blush is great for the subtle blush look but buildable. I love buildable better as I’ve used blushes and they right off the bat gave way too much color that I had to redo my entire makeup lol! {retails $3.99}

Essence Make Me Brow: If you don’t already have this, run and grab it! Seriously amazing and has filling fibers as well. Honestly, did better then a brand name brow gel I purchased! {retails $2.99}

Profusion Cosmetics 6 Piece Brow Kit: This comes with tweezer, a brow brush, a clear brow gel, brow pencil and brow pallet with brow powder and primers! This is amazing, and for the price, you can’t beat it! {retails $6.99}

Covergirl Lash Blast Volume: Holy grail y’all! 2 coats of this (like I do with my high end mascaras) and it literally lengthens and volumizes my lashes. And better then MANY brand name mascaras. Highly recommend this one. {retails $8.00}

Elf Volume Plumping Mascara: Gonna be honest, was nervous to try this because I was afraid it wouldn’t be so good. But let me tell you, it’s AMAZING! Just as amazing as the Covergirl one. And for the price, you can’t beat that! {retails $3.00}

Sweet and Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette: I randomly found this on sale at Ulta. I guess this brand is sold there. But it’s pretty good. Not as pigmented, but great for the light color and shimmer on days you want to just put on some shadow and mascara. {retails $4.99}

Profusion Cosmetics Eye Shadow Palettes: I love these! They’re seriously amazing and so pigmented! And for the price, you get a ton of colors! {retails $10.00}

ColourPop Super Shock Shadows: You. Must. Get. These! This are amazing! And so cheap. And so cushiony. And so pigmented. And I want to buy more lol!! {retails $5.00}

Wet n Wild Mega Liner Liquid Liner: By far, the best liquid liner I have ever tried! Very pigmented, doesn’t rub off easily, and if you need to go over a line you already made, the new coat doesn’t take off the previous coat.. if that makes sense? And I love the felt tip brush. Very precise!! {retails $3.99 – I feel it used to be $1.99!}

NYX Vivid Brights Liquid Liner: I got this in a blue color and love it! The felt tip brush is also very thin so you don’t run the risk of a thick line. Totally worth it and they have other fun colors too! {retails $7.00}

Pixi by Petra Eye Define Waterline: Also, not a cheap drugstore brand, but I LOVE IT! For a waterline pencil, this lasts all day. And not all liners last on my waterline. Definitely a must try if you want to spend a few extra bucks! {retails $14.00}

Pixi by Petra Endless Silky Eyeliner: Yo, if you love eye liners, this is a must have! I love how silky and pigmented it is! Not to mention, easy to blend! And, it dries after a minute so it doesn’t smudge. If you ask me, these are my favorite eyeliners! {retails $12.00}

Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Lipstick: So I tried this with a lip primer. Didn’t like the primer as it made it sticky. But this liquid lipstick on its own is GREAT! I went out to dinner and came back with it still fully on. Totally recommend and so cheap! {retails $4.99}

Elf Liquid Matte Lipstick: Must get y’all. I’m a fan of liquid lipsticks and this one is great, lasts all day and cheap! And love the color I got! Tea Rose! {retails $5.00}

NYX Lipsticks: Everyone raves about this brand and they have tons of different types- glossy, satin, matte, etc. And they’re all great! Even lip liners are amazing according to some I’ve asked! Definitely worth a try because this brand also has a ton of colors! {retails $3.99-7.99}

Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Natural Finish Setting Spray: Nowadays, setting sprays for some reason are so expensive. And honestly, I don’t understand why. But I like this one from Wet n Wild. It holds all day and the spray is good too. I’ve tried others where it rocket shoots in your eyes lol but this one is a perfect mist! {retails $4.99}

So there you have it! A round up of drugstore brand makeup I purchased and tried just to let you know if it’s worth it or not! Honestly, drugstore brands are just as good as the high end makeup, just without the high price tag! So if you’re in the market for new makeup, definitely try out these picks or others from the same brands!

Save for Later, PIN IT!
