So where do I even begin! Firstly, I’m Sarah and I’m the mom and blogger of The Stylish Mommy and I’m so thankful for the readers I have supporting me. This post “Meet the Blogger” is so that you all can get a better idea of who I am and some things about me people wouldn’t just know.

I am going to list some topics of things I will share about myself so it’s all orderly. Yes, thats one of my traits. I need organization! So here it goes!

Why I Started Blogging

Let me start off by saying, it all started with Instagram. Way back in the day when Instagram was Chronological and fun to use, I decided I wanted to share some fashion and beauty. I named it The Stylish Mommy (link HERE to my Instagram) because I figured it made sense. I like fashion and I’m a mommy.. so…

Once I did that, I kind of gave up after a few months. Then over a year or so I just went back to my Instagram. Thankfully I never deleted it! At first I was calling myself an “Insta-Blogger” and posted my stuff there. Slowly I realized, YOU CANT CALL YOURSELF A BLOGGER IF YOU DONT ACTUALLY HAVE A BLOG! So that’s when I decided to start up this blog.

I also enjoy writing for some reason. Call me weird. It calms me and let’s me get my creative side out. It also helps relax me a bit when I’m going through an anxiety spasm LOL.

Is Blogging My Job?

I actually hope it will be one day! I’m working so hard to get where I need to be in order to be able to use this as my main source of income. Imagine that! Doing something I enjoy and making a living from it! Oh, and who doesn’t like working on their own terms?!

My Background

I was born in Israel (Yup, I’m Jewish!) and when I was just shy of a year old, my parents decided to move to Florida for my dads work. So thanks to them, I speak fluent Hebrew and English I learnt when I was sent to daycare. So I speak Hebrew like and Israeli and English like an American! I grew up in Naples, Florida and at the age of 14, we moved to Miami.

We moved to Miami because we became orthodox so my parents wanted to send me to a Jewish school and the only available ones were in Miami which wasn’t too far from Naples. I went to Jewish school for my high school years and then went off to do a year of Seminary in Israel. Then I came back to Miami and well, we’ll get to that in the next subject below!

When I Got Married

The year I came back from Seminary in Israel (2007) I met my now husband. We met in November 2007 and started dating February 2008. We then got Engaged in May of 2008 and married July 2008. Very, very fast!!

How Many Kids I Have

Three girls! After I got married, I got pregnant within three months. I had my first born girl a month after our year anniversary, so August of 2009. I was 21 when I had her so you can imagine how my 21st birthday was celebrated LOL!

My second was born at the end of 2011 (December). I was a month shy of 24. And then we had a HUGE gap and I had my third at the age of 31 in November of 2019! Crazy, right?! Also, all my girls have similar days of the month they were born. My oldest is August 4, middle kid is December 4 and then my baby had to be the odd one out and she was born November 5. Crazy how that worked out, but easier to remember their birthdays!

Do I Regret Anything?

Hell yes I do! When I came back from seminary in Israel, I did 2 semesters in college. So, just one year. When I got married, I stopped college altogether. Now I have like 35 credits flying around not being used. I wish I could go back and get a degree, but right now I don’t have the time, nor do I think I have the motivation. Maybe down the line. But for now, I’m happy with blogging.

I don’t want to forget to mention, when I came back from seminary I so wanted to go to beauty school. I ended up not going because my mom said that’s not a living. I did college, wasted a year and gained nothing. Now my mom regrets not letting me do beauty school and says I can now and she’ll watch the kids. Issue is, I have no desire anymore LOL!

Work Besides Being a Blogger

Yes, I actually have a day job. Though… the hours, days, etc. are very flexible as it’s my fathers construction business so I just help out with some office work. I don’t enjoy it, but I do it as my father needs the help.

What I wanted to be as a Child

Funny, I wanted to be a doctor. Now? No way! I suffer from health related anxiety and anything doctors and hospitals and doctors offices and what not don’t do well with me. I rather now be near those places or people.

Now some may be wondering how I had kids when I hate doctors and hospital settings and the such. Well!!! They all three were born in a birthing center (all natural, no interventions) with midwives. But trust me, just regular check ups for blood pressure, urine, etc. had me on edge!

Type of Shows and Movies I Like

I’m more of a horror and comedy fan. I’m not a drama or action type person. At all. But comedy by far and then horror LOL. I love American Horror Story and Stranger Things type of shows. And anything that makes me laugh like Working Moms is good! I’m not TOO picky. Honestly, I’ll watch anything as long as it has me drawn in. But my faves are comedy and horror and are usually my first pick.

My Pet Peeve

Omg… I CANNOT stand when I can hear people make noise when they chew food or drink something. Especially gum!! If your a loud chomper or slurper, don’t come near me!

My Worst Habit

It has got to be procrastinating. I’m a pro at it. A week will go by and I’m like “Okay, wow. I have tons of laundry to do… now what?” And then I say I have to stop procrastinating and do things right away. Nope, doesn’t work that way with me!

Favorite Stores to Shop at

Right now, I mainly shop at Zara and Abercrombie & Fitch. I’ll walk into other random stores and I do find things. But those 2 are the ones I HAVE to check out when I visit the mall.

Favorite and Least Favorite Food

If I had to chose a favorite, probably pizza. But it has to be one amazingly good pizza! As far as least, I CANNOT stand truffle! Omg, even the smell makes me nauseated!

What I did as a Kid, but Gave Up

Art. I’m artistic. Or maybe was at this point. Haven’t done art in a while! I loved painting and drawing. That stuff was fun! But I do see it in my oldest! She definitely took after me in the artistic aspect, so at least someone is continuing it!

One Word to Describe My Family

Haha… it has to be… CRAZY.

What I Do When I Feel Down or Have An Anxiety Moment

Ugh, this one is hard. Yes, I suffer from anxiety and it comes and goes in waves. It sucks. sometimes I retreat to my room and shut everyone out, but realistically, that doesn’t help. What I have found to be best is be around family like siblings, my parents… but also getting out of the house and maybe doing some retail therapy.

My Addiction

Oh my, I have a couple! Definitely shopping. It’s bad. I’ve been told I need to see a doctor LOL! And of course, Starbucks! I have one daily (well plus or minus a day or two).

I think that’s as much information about me that I can think of sharing and that sounds interesting a bit LOL. There are other about me questions, but they sound very unrealistic to me to even answer, like… Oh, I don’t know… Just things that I felt wouldn’t be relevant.

So there you have it! Maybe I’ll do a part 2 if I get questions asking things about me in the comments that seem like good ones to answer!

Mommy of 3 girls and I blog about all things Life with kids as well as hints of Fashion and Beauty. If you get to know me, I’m a fun and silly person to be around who loves having a good time. But yes, I have my flaws and suffer from anxiety and want to help others who suffer as well. And when I’m in need of therapy, I turn to shopping. Who doesn’t!?
