So excited to share with you my review of the Mario Badescu products I have received from the brand itself! Firstly, I never really tried any of their products except for their lavender facial spray which I only used a few times. So this was all new to me!

I’m going to list each product individually sharing what I like about it, what I don’t like it and the purpose of the product itself.

Ok, so let’s start!!

Glycolic Acid Toner

Firstly, I LOVE glycolic acid. I feel like it does wonders for my skin. Especially with breakouts. This toner is very gentle on the skin and leaves it smooth and bright – plus it doesn’t cause redness after applying so that’s a plus! I put a bit of the product on a cotton pad and swipe it across my face from the middle of my face going outwards. I use this at least once a day (if not twice), mainly at night after washing my face, but it’s to be used 2x a day. Now, the purpose of this product is that it brightens and balances the skin. It also has grapefruit and aloe which help refine pores and diminish the look of fine lines, uneven skin tone and wrinkles. CONS – I’m not so happy they have Parabens in it and coloring (could’ve been a clear toner, no need for turquoise even so it’s pretty!).

Would I recommend it? Yes and No. Yes because I love what it’s been doing to my skin but No if you’re someone who cares about ingredients in your skin care.

Botanical Exfoliating Scrub

I’ve used this already once and so far, I like how it made my skin feel smooth. It was not so harsh on my skin and didn’t leave me red. This is only to be used 1-2 times a week, so it’s gonna be hard for me for remember “oh, today is the day I need to use the botanical exfoliating scrub!” You feel me? The purpose of this scrub is to buff away dead skin cells in order to have a more radiant and smoother complexion. It has a blend of aloe, coconut, ginger, ginkgo, green tea and beads of Ecuadorian ivory palm – these help in rejuvenating the skin. CONS – Has Sulfates but they’re not as bad as Parabens (which this product doesn’t have!)

Would I recommend it? Yes to anyone who has dull skin and needs a pick me up! And if you can remember to take this out 1-2x a week to use 🙂

Glycolic Foaming Cleanser

This I have already used a few times. I actually thought it was a daily use cleanser, but it’s not 😦 It says to use 2-3x a week and if you’re more sensitive, then use it 1-2x a week. Again, me remembering to use this every couple of days is hard. But I love the product itself. It’s very gentle and smooth when lathering on the skin. It makes my skin feel soft and refreshed which I love! And no redness occurs using this. The purpose of this product is to dissolve away dead skin cells, excess dirt, makeup and oil and to soothe and rejuvenate the skin. It also has chamomile, yarrow, sage and St John Wort. Basically, this is a supplement to your daily facial cleanser 2-3x a week. CONS – contains both sulfates and parabens 😦

Would I recommend it? Yes and No. Yes, because I love this product and how it works, but No if you care about the ingredients in your skin care.

A.H.A. & Ceramide Moisturizer

Ok, this moisturizer I LOVE. When I first applied it, it was so soothing and moisturizing and felt so nice on my skin. And the next morning, my skin looked nicer than usual and less dull! Very hydrating if I must say! The purpose of this product is that it gently exfoliates and hydrates the skin. The Alpha Hydroxy Extracts which are naturally found in lemon extract is what helps dissolve the dead skin cells which cause the dull and congested skin (like mine!). The ceramide (hydrating lipid in skin depletes with age) helps retain moisture for a more youthful complexion. CONS – this product also contains parabens.

Would I recommend it? Yes because it’s such a great moisturizer for dull skin but NO if you care about the ingredients in your skincare.

Enzyme Revitalizing Mask

I honesty have only used this mask once. I’m so bad with masks, especially when it’s one you leave on for some time. This one is left on for 20 minutes. Applying was easy, washing off was easy. Didn’t leave any redness and my skin felt nice and smooth. The purpose of this product is that it is rich in minerals and vitamins which help draw out impurities from the skin. Papaya extract helps exfoliate and reduce the build up of dulling surface cells. This mask is to be used 2-3x a week. CONS – it contains parabens.

Would I recommend it? If you’re a mask love then yes! But No if you care about the ingredients in your skincare.

Herbal Hydrating Serum

O.M.G! This serum is so so hydrating!!! It says to put on moisturizer afterwards if needed. But seriously, it was so hydrating itself that no added moisturizer was necessary. This product is formulated with ceramides, ginkgo and ginseng extracts which is meant to leave the skin soft and hydrated. And omg was that true! This can be used daily, day and night. No CONS for this one!

Would I recommend it? Absolutely!!! Especially if you are more prone to dry skin, definitely use!

Vitamin C Serum

We all know the advantages of vitamin C! And I’ve never used a vitamin C Serum even so it’s become popular. So this was my first one trying! You only use it every other day. So I use this at night every other day and then use the herbal hydrating serum the other days. The vitamin C serum helps restore youthful luminosity while delivering antioxidant defense against skin aging free radicals. This is meant to brighten and even out uneven skin tone which I need and can’t wait to see long term use effects. I use 3-4 drops on the nights I use it. One drop on the forehead, each cheek and then chin and rub it in. No CONS for this one!

Would I recommend it? Of course! Can’t go wrong with some vitamin C!

So there you have it! My honest review and thoughts on the Mario Badescu beauty products. I’ll be real here – I love them all. Just not happy that some products have ingredients like sulfates and parabens. I probably wouldn’t purchase those products when I run out even so I LOVE them unless they removed those ingredients. But all I all, great products that do as they claim!
