I received from Revlon a few of their newer makeup launches and was so excited to put them to the test. I cannot remember when the last time was that I used Revlon. Honestly, it’s sad LOL. So receiving their new products was great to get me back into using them – and BTW, they stepped up their game in comparison to YEARS ago!
I received their PhotoReady Candid line as well as the new Ultra HD Matte Lip Mousse lipsticks. Below, I will share one by one what I think of that specific product – and I am being 100% honest y’all. All opinions are my own. I wouldn’t send you to buy a product if I didn’t think it was worth it 🙂
PhotoReady Candid Foundation – I received this foundation in shade 130. At first, I thought it was going to be too light of a color for me. But I was wrong, its exactly my color LOL. It’s a medium coverage foundation which is great for me because it is also build-able. It does not feel heavy on the skin or like you’re wearing a mask on your face and this is what I look for when buying foundations. I hate when you feel it caked on. Its a very smooth formula – goes on like a moisturizer. No streaking and blends great. I also like that it wasn’t a serious matte finish. I feel like the matte finishes are harsh on textured skin (which I have). It was more in-between the dewy and matte look. So it was perfect because I didn’t want to look too dewy either (oily skin!). Coverage was actually pretty good. Redness and sun spots etc. I needed to add a bit more to, but that was not an issue. It did even out my skin tone a bit and didn’t enhance the look of my pores (OMG I hate foundations that do that!). Honestly, for a medium coverage foundation, I like it. It also lasted well throughout the day. I didn’t notice any melting with it, but it hasn’t been the usual hot Miami for me to test that one out. Now, as far as what’s inside this foundation: Revlon added into it anti-pollution, antioxidants and anti-blue light ingredients. Uhhh, can we say YES! Definitely try out this foundation if you’re in the market for a medium coverage one.
PhotoReady Candid Antioxidant Concealer – The color of the concealer they sent was 010. Goes great with the foundation color they sent. I love this concealer as it covers pretty well, especially my under-eye dark circles. Its not heavy – it’s like the foundation, medium coverage and build-able. I also love the applicator – At first, I thought it was a pump like the foundation, but its not. It’s a wand that is curved so you can get into annoying areas like the corners between your eyes and your nose. Not only that, but it is infused with caffeine for a built in pick me up! This also has anti-pollution, antioxidants and anti-blue light ingredients. Definitely try out this concealer! Great to have this in your stash!
PhotoReady Candid Anti-Pollution Setting Powder – This I got in shade 001. Now, I do not normally use setting powders. For some reason, I forget and just feel it adds extra unwanted make-up heaviness. But trying this one, its so light and minimizes the look of my textured skin which is a plus! It has a satin-y finish and overall smooths out the look of my skin. Literally, gives the look of an airbrushed make-up application. This powder also includes anti-pollution ingredients! This is definitely a must if you’re in the market for a setting powder!
Ultra HD Matte Lip Mousse – I received five colors from this line of liquid lipsticks (there are a bunch more and they launched new colors!). These are VERY lightweight. Makes sense why it’s a mousse 🙂 I am so used to the heavier, very pigmented liquid lipsticks. But these are nice because they are soft and light. Not only that, but they have good pigmentation, but not overly bold where you feel you are over doing it with an ‘everyday lip.’ These give you the dark colors (if you go for them) or reds etc, but with the everyday ‘look’ to it, if that makes sense? Basically, they aren’t too BOLD, and for me, that’s good because I love color, but I feel I wear too much makeup when my lips are too bold. They have also this velvety feel to them and don’t dry out your lips – and that’s great because normally matte lipsticks dry out my lips, but not these! Also, I wore this from 7:30am and at 10pm, IT WAS STILL ON! So it passed the all day wear test! Go grab yourself one (or more!) if you’re in the market for matte lipsticks that don’t dry out your lips.

In all, I love these products from Revlon. Definitely worth buying and trying them if you haven’t already!
